Life is too short to not think freely

Divide and Conquer

Now that Donald Trump has officially declared his candidacy for the 2024 presidential run, so many of my fellow Republicans have expressed their discontentedness. Some say that he’s too old, others say that he is washed up, and more claim that he sows too much division in the country, thus making him unfit to run for a president again.

I don’t know about you guys, but that logic makes absolutely no sense to me.

The years of 2017-2020 were some of the best that I have ever lived. I felt safe in my nation, I felt free, I felt like for a slight moment I could trust my government a little more than usual. And I owe that to President Donald Trump. Like him or not, you can’t say that he didn’t keep his promises. He did everything that he said he was going to do and then some.

He built the wall along our southern boarder, prices were kept low, jobs were at an all time high, our troops were brought home from foreign nations, we were taken out of global deals that didn’t benefit us, pharmaceutical prices were reduced, America was a respected nation in the world again, and so much more. He was an amazing president and, in my opinion, one of the best this nation has ever had.

However, after a clearly rigged election caused this great man to lose the oval office (see my post about election fraud here), Republicans refuse to stand up for Donald Trump. In fact, many of them actively share their hatred for Trump, calling him a “divider” of the Republican party.

However, the real reason why Donald Trump is always accused of being divisive is because he fights the good fight. See, the thing about actually fighting for what is right is that evil will come out of its hiding place to meet you. Evil does not sit idly by and wait for you to vanquish it. The “division” that Republicans are so maddened by is separation of the wicked from the good. It is a necessary type of division. We want to see RINOs being brought to the surface. We want their lies and schemes to be brought to the light. And THAT, my friends, is what Donald Trump is capable of.

I honestly believe that most Republicans despise Donald Trump (and patriots like him) because he is not an onlooker. He has the passion and the ambition to get his hands dirty and to hold the system accountable. He is not afraid to call people out. He is not afraid to lack civility. While I understand that holding a public office requires some form of decorum, I believe it also requires some form of outspokenness. I want my president to show strength, not manners. The fact that he is not apathetic and that he takes strong action steps to protect his country pricks the self-consciences of lazy Republicans, which consequently causes discomfort and uneasiness. In order to make themselves feel better, those same lazy Republicans tend to dismiss the actions of Trump by labeling his work as “dividing the house.”

I can’t tell you how many Republicans believe that Ron DeSantis should be our next president because they don’t want to see Donald Trump “dividing the republican party anymore.” Now, don’t get me wrong, I love DeSantis as much as anyone, but it is not his time. Donald Trump has proved himself to be a vessel that God has used mightily to better this nation. I for one will not turn my back on a man who withstood so much opposition out of pure love for his country and his God. I like the fact that he divides. I like that he brings the evil to the surface. I like that he speaks what is on his mind. You may think these qualities to be the worst parts of Trump, but I believe them to be the best.

We must be willing to separate the sheep from the wolves by any means necessary. If it takes some mean tweets, then so be it.

The political arena is not one of simple partisan issues anymore, it is an arena of light verses darkness. If Republicans want to see an America that is truly free and great, then we must weed out the evil. We must stop cowering to child groomers, to illegal aliens smuggling drugs into our country, to mass human trafficking rings, and to so much more darkness. Above all, we must stop pandering to the government that is fueling it. We are past the point of civility. It’s time to divide and conquer.

“Yes, a house divided itself cannot stand, but neither will a house that has looters sitting at the dinner table.”

– Elizabeth Gillanders, 2022
